I am a singer/songwriter living in Dublin, Ireland.I have been writing songs for over 50 years. I has early success as a runner-up in Ireland's National Song Contest back in 1971 and maintained a keen interest in singing and songwriting since then. In an earlier life, I worked as an Accountant, a job I enjoyed very much, but in recent years I have been devoting more of my time to pursuing my passion for music. This involves me singing in my local community, writing songs and running songwriting workshops and open mics.
Over the past number of years, I have participated in a number of projects with songwriting and music groups in Ireland and across Europe and I visited and performed in many European Countries in the course of thses projects.
I writes on a wide range of topics from political parodies, to conventional love songs, to to spirituality but I am primarilly a Contemporary Christian Songwriter and I have written many Bible based songs. My influences include Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and James Taylor. I also has a particular interest in the Poetry of WB Yeats and I have put music to and recorded many of his earlier poems.
